New Module Idea

With the large number of plugins being developed for Nautobot, I think that adding an Ansible module that would pip install the plugin, update the PLUGIN and PLUGIN_SETTINGS settings in Nautobot would be a pretty nice module to build. The trick may be adding the state setup of do we do intended configuration, merge where we just add, and the like. Would like to start a discussion around this before moving to design and such.

Do you think it be easier to create a module for that vs creating a role ?

Easier, role. I think it would be interesting to see if we could go to a module though.

I think some of the tasks involved would definitely be easier in python than ansible. Updating the settings is going to take several tasks in Ansible, probably a little unintuitive when trying to merge existing plus new settings.
