Clarification on Service Discovery and Nginx Role in Microservice Architecture

Hi guys,

In the microservice architecture you've defined for the project, I haven't found a component responsible for service discovery. Could you help me with this part if it's included? Also, what are the benefits of placing Nginx as the first point to receive a request from the client?
