Is it possible to automatically update the currently playing queue/playlist?

Hey! First of all, the app looks great and I'm hoping to use it from now on. But one big feature that I want is automatic updates of the currently playing queue/playlist.

I listen to the music on my phone mostly in the car. I just connect it and it plays where I left off. My music files get synced to the phone from my external NAS. When I add/remove files and they get synced, the app unfortunately doesn't automatically update the queue. My goal is to not have to open the app manually and reshuffle the updated folder(s).

Is that somehow possible?

hey thanks! i cant quite get what u want exactly, are u talking about the current player queue? or the music folders that u have on ur phone?
are u asking for automatic refresh of added/removed music files?

That's basically what I'm asking for! An option to automatically update the current player queue when I shuffle play my playlist/folder/album etc. and add/remove music from the playlist/folder/album.

Which is basically me then not having to manually reset the player queue before I start listening to the music

that sounds like 2 separate things,

1. to shuffle ur albums/playlists/etc, u just need to do one of these

   • open their dialog -> shuffle
   • open the page -> shuffle icon
   • play anything, then shuffle the player queue itself (the one u do)

2. to refresh ur files, u need to do on of these

   • open tracks page and swipe down to refresh (pull to refresh)
   • go to indexer -> refresh (or refresh icon)
   • enable "refresh on startup"

let me know if i got this wrong!

From what I tested the following didn't work:

1. Shuffle a playlist/album etc.
2. Queue gets created
3. Add or remove a music file from the playlist/album etc. (not in the UI)
4. Refresh the indexer causing the file to get recognized
5. Queue stays the same

oh i see now what u mean, currently the queue has no link with whatever played it, and honestly i see no reason to considering the amount of changes needed to support it

do u know apps with that? what happens when u add unrelated stuff to the queue?

I though I knew at least a desktop app (Dopamine) but apparently it doesn't work there as I thought :D I understand this feature being too extensive for what's probably a rare request. It would probably be better to have it as a seperate feature instead of integrating it into the existing queue system but even then it's quite a bit of work probably.

I'll use this app for a bit to see if it fits me. Thank you for responding so quickly!
