If I use the Homey power button toggle to turn off my AVR-3808 I cannot turn it back on.

I get an error message in the red banner of the Homey app saying it could no longer make a connection to the Denon amp on the specified IP address.

Is there any way to debug this app further regarding connection attempts and commands being sent?

Error message in the red banner is:

Something went wrong, please try again.
(Failed to connect to receiver. Socket timed out.

Is your IP correct and is Network Control enabled on the receiver?)

Hi Budda,

Is there an option set on the receiver which makes it only accept network control commands when it is turned on?

My 2100W has two options under IP Control: 'Off In Standby (Default)' and 'Always On'. This option should be set to always on to allow to be controlled while in standby.

I couldn't find any "IP Control" options in the web UI.

However, on http://x.x.x.x/MAINZONE/f_mainzone.asp I did see a note:

To use the web control function, set the GUI menu "Manual Setup" - "Network Setup" - "Other" - "Power Saving" setting to "OFF"

Which I have done.

The AVR-3808 power can now be toggled on and off.

Maybe some info to include in the app instructions?
