How can we improve Base UI documentation?

Move the examples to be above the API documentation, this way they would be more discoverable. The issue is that at this moment, the API information being the first thing means that people need to scroll a lot to get to the examples (especially on mobile). More over, the table of content can get too long on some pages, that you can't even see the examples in the table of content in order to know that they are there and be able to easily access them (even on desktop). There was one feedback about this from the comunity too.

I think the API reference should always come last, on certain components there are other sections of content like Toast General usage which is quite important and should be un-missable

Oh yeah, even if we kept the API reference "first" (before Examples), any sections explaining general concepts about the component should come before it. 🙈
