where should this project go besides just updates? nowhere, optimize, namespace, etc?

My suggestion would mostly be optimization and fixing bugs - it's always been kind of a bug-fest, uses tons of RAM, registers a ridiculous number of nodes, and spews several pages of warnings on startup. It would be great to see some of this cleaned up.
