Embedding mpv

Is there possibility to embed mpv player into other programs? The is libVLC which gives that possibility, but it would be great to have an alternative.

It was done some time ago, see #97

If you want to build the library you can specify --enable-shared flag to waf configure

It's still work in progress. For example, it won't work on OSX at all, only Linux/X11 and win32. But it exists.

Is there a ticket I can subscribe to, that tracks the status of OS X as well? I'll have to hold off on it until I can cover all three platforms.
