The function workflow_QC only allows xlsx files.

It would be great if this could be extended, to allow various table formats. E.G.: CSV/TSV.

Honestly, for the end users I would keep it with xlsx files for now, as this is what they will usually use. csv/tsv files also have issues (different delimiters, german/american version etc), that currently would give more problems than it solves.

We could consider a version where reading in the data is outside of the workflow.
