Unclear what this means in terms of UI components: do we need to make sure that all our components are Android Dark Mode compatible?

Is there something we can do with web content? Apple has introduced a CSS selector to let websites know that the OS (or Browser) is running in dark mode. Can we support that too?

Random thought: Does anyone ever want "Bright Mode"? I wonder if anyone actually wants a "Dark Mode" setting or if they just want to have a darker UI in general?

AppCompat comes with a Day/Night theme which you can switch manually or let it automatically switch based on the local time:

Oh, that's pretty cool. A Dark Mode in a browser isn't really helping much if most websites have a white background. :(
