Clarifying shareScope: Beyond the Default Setting

Can anyone break down shareScope in more depth? I’ve noticed that it can be set in three different places —

1. ModuleFederationPluginOptions.shareScope
2. RemotesConfig.shareScope
3. SharedConfig.shareScope

The documentation simply says the default value is "default", but not why you’d ever change it.

Under what circumstances would you use a share scope name other than "default"? What practical scenarios actually require defining multiple share scopes?
