show empty effect selector or dashes when no effect is loaded instead of "None"

IMO an empty field or a distinct icon (like dashes) signals 'no effect loaded' much better than having to read string.

If we didn't have it, we'd have to load arbitrary effects by default.

Also, with effect chain presets it is important to be able to represent empty effects to load the preset exactly as it was saved.
