!! DEPRECATION NOTICE: The pyZscaler SDK is Now Deprecated !!

Dear Community,

After several years of development and community support, pyZscaler is deprecated and no longer maintained. pyZscaler originated as a response to a gap in having a purpose-built SDK that covered every Zscaler API call. Leveraging Steve Mcgrath's Restfly framework, it evolved into a user-friendly, well-tested, and documented solution that filled a critical need when other options fell short.

As the Zscaler API continued to grow more complex, maintaining this SDK required a significant ongoing effort. Eventually, competing priorities made it difficult to dedicate the resources I needed to devleop this project at the pace it deserved. The community’s trust and adoption helped shape it into a reliable resource that served many use cases with minimal issues.

Why Deprecate?

In partnership with Zscaler, the capabilities and contributions from pyZscaler have now been integrated into the official SDK. By unifying our efforts, the official repo emerges as the canonical codebase which is now backed by ongoing development and support. This consolidation ensures that all future improvements and maintenance will continue in a more streamlined and sustainable manner.

What’s Next?

1. Transition to the Official Zscaler Python SDK

   • I encourage you to begin using and contributing to the Official Zscaler Python SDK.
   • This codebase will remain intact for those that wish to continue using it, but again I encourage you to look at migrating as no issues will be addressed here.

2. Continued community Involvement

   • The same collaborative spirit can thrive in the new repo. Your input, feedback and code contributions remain invaluable. I intend to continue to contribute in the new codebase.
