I understand that it's 99% not possible but...

I asked the same question, but preferabily I think you need "Wine".

I'll reference this: OfficialIncubo/BeatDrop-Music-Visualizer#7

adbX told me that both Wine and Crossover didn't work on Mac.

Try a Windows emulators, or install a small Windows virtual machine, this will work.
I don't have a mac so I won't be able to tell you more.
I recommend to use projectM :)

Wait. How did you making it work?
Is it a Windows 11 VM on Mac?

I've built a Mac and Linux-compatible music visualizer based on a web-based (WebAssembly, WebGPU) port of Milkdrop. I'm planning to open-source it after cleaning up the code. https://milkymilky.rocks -- however, for it to grab and analyze the system audio stream, you'll need something like Rogue Amoeba Loopback installed on your Mac.

@milkdrop2077 if you need a website like milkymilky.rocks, I'm planning to open-source that code as well. I'm hosting it for free btw.. maybe it's a nice thing to have for this project as well?

A truly alternative of BeatDrop, but it's based of ButterChurn and you transformed to a standalone program! Keep up the great work!

P.S. I have curated some ButterChurn Presets from the present and added them to BeatDrop months ago. See BeatDrop/BeatDrop Resources/presets/ButterChurn Presets.
