Welcome to Hacktoberfest 2025! 🎃

I’m excited to see this project continue to grow for its 3rd year in Hacktoberfest.

Just a note to everyone, I’ll be a little more low key this year, because I’m attending Server-Side Swift starting Oct 1, and then Swift Connection immediately afterwards, and I’m speaking at both.

This year I’m bumping the minimum version to be up the latest, so that means:

• Xcode 26 required (macOS Tahoe, not required)
• iOS / iPadOS 26 minimum for the project

Beginners / First Time Contributors

This repo is beginner friendly! I want this to be one of your first projects you get into and really help you learn how to contribute and work with others.

It’s okay if you mess up, it’s okay if your PR isn’t perfect. Everything is a learning opportunity. Feel free to ask any questions, or DM me directly on social media if you don’t feel comfortable asking in public. Although, by asking in public, you may also help someone else, who has the same question.

Also you’re some of the most valuable contributors! Going through the Contributing steps and helping make them easier for others is one of the most valuable parts of the project! If something doesn’t work, tell me! Open an issue on how to improve the docs! That “small” change, helps everyone!

Note About AI

You are welcome to use AI for helping you code, but please follow the issue you’re assigned and the coding conventions of the repo.

Excessive comments and out of scope changes will not be accepted and I will be marking them as spam.

This repo is about being kind to one another, learning new skills, playing with new APIs and helping everyone improve collectively.

Don’t contribute if your only goal is to get as many PRs as quick as possible.
