What to do when WSL2 crashes and won't restart

I was a couple of weeks into using my hp laptop 17-cp3005dx as my primary laptop when away from office. I had Ubuntu 25.04 running under WSL2 Win 11 Pro canary build with Gnome Evolution, Nemo file manager, LibreOffice, and PDFStudioPro2024 running only using Win 11 Pro for Firefox. Then Win 11 updated and after rebooting, WSL will not load. It keeps looking for wsl.2.5.7,0.x64.msi to load. I downloaded that msi file and put it where it could be found by whatever was looking for to load, but it would not. How do I get wsl2 running? Thank you, John
