Can I open terminal apps in focus mode? (without changing the "global" default)

Is there a way to make focus mode the default only when opening terminal apps directly?

For instance, if I were to open the following applications from the Start Menu:

• Windows Terminal (not opened in focus mode)
• NeoVim (opened in Windows Terminal in focus mode)

Settings > Startup > Launch Mode = Focus doesn't work, because any new terminal windows open in focus mode, not just applications

This is maybe an annoying workaround, but can you use wt --focus -w -1 -- neovim foo? That may not exactly give you what you want either, but it will spawn a new focus mode terminal (every time, fwiw) running neovim.

It's not as cool as being able to set all NeoVim up to do it...

That is strange. I get the following error:

wt --focus -w -1 -- neovim C:\Users\eamonburns\foo.txt

[error 2147942402 (0x80070002) when launching `neovim C:\Users\eamonburns\foo.txt']
The system cannot find the file specified.

I first tried it with a relative path .\foo.txt, but that gave the same error, so I then tried with an absolute path, and that still didn't work.

I actually don't need that (although it would be cool). I'm just wondering if there is a way to change the behavior based on if Windows Terminal is launched "interactively", or just as a host for any TUI, not just NeoVim.

Oh, duh. The executable is called nvim, not neovim. I should have caught that. This works:

wt --focus -w -1 -- nvim C:\Users\eamonburns\foo.txt

Would it work to make the "default terminal" just wt.exe --focus? Then, if any terminal app is opened it is opened with --focus, but if WT is opened directly, it presumably wouldn't have --focus by default.

This would likely affect opening PowerShell or CMD too though (which I might not mind, I rarely specifically launch PowerShell. I usually just open WT, which has a default profile of PowerShell).

I'm not sure how the default terminal is set. I looked in the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console\%%Startup), but that is indecipherable (as usual).
