We believe pev is a great tool. In my humble opinion, this toolkit has a few great unique features:

• 100% portable. Given the fact we wrote our own PE parser library in C, you can compile pev to any modern system.
• PE certificate extraction (pesec does that). I can't remember of any other free tool that does it.
• Flexible output: JSON, XML, HTML, CSV... that's really nice for bulk processing of PE files.
• Already present in popular Linux repositories (apt-get install pev in Debian, Ubuntu, Kali, etc).

However, our careers took a different path and we have no more time to spend on pev. So, if you like C programming and PE files, maybe you are the right person to take over pev. Reply here, or send me an email at nandu88 (noSPAM) gmail . com. <3
