More of #13183.

models.py is getting a bit messy. It might be worth moving some of its contents into rest/client/account.py.

I think we try not to do Sequence[str] since a str is also a Sequence[str]?

Oh true. Context:

  • I wanted to annotate the user_ids on the request body as immutable where possible.
  • But I also wanted to use Pydantic's conlist() to enforce a minimum length---regrettably there doesn't seem to be a contuple().

I'll drop the first bullet (which will be no worse than today).

I wonder if we could somehow come up for a type which is Sequence[str], but not str. I don't think that's easy unfortunately.

It's not accurate indeed. Looks like the previous error message raised in this case was mis-interpreted in #3789.

Packaging changes: This package now require rust, because of upstream,
and thus will fail to build on many platforms where the previous one
worked.  Please feel free to address this with upstream or package an
old version in wip :-(

This version, if configured to use sqlite, will refuse to start if the
sqlite version is old, as it is in netbsd-9 base.  This is not a
regression from the previous package because while that would start,
it would fail to run, because the netbsd-9 base sqlite is missing
required features.   This package should work with pkgsrc sqlite.

Tested with pgsql on netbsd-9 amd64.
