Both davidar and jfred have encountered joining a freenode channel over federation from their personal HSes and seeing a fleet of blank events in Vector - see attached images. It's less clear what's going on with davidar's one, as it shows him talking (perhaps from the matrix.org HS rather than davidar.io?)
