https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/blob/develop/docs/workers.md has reverse proxy endpoint ^/_matrix/client/(r0|v3|unstable)/user_directory/search$ defined for deprecated user_dir app, but no same endpoint is defined elsewhere for generic worker type. Shouldn't that endpoint still be steered into that worker so it will hit the worker properly and not go through main worker?

@babolivier babolivier changed the title ...user_directory/search$ endpoint with new generic_appservice worker style for user dir? The user directory search endpoint is missing from the generic worker documentation May 17, 2022

Yes it looks like it's indeed missing there. There should be no issue with sending your user directory search requests to a generic worker, I think this omission from the doc is an oversight from #12654.
