So with the navigation drawer on the MD3 site, it says that the badge text for the navigation drawer is "coming soon".

Any update on this feature itself?

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen anytime soon this year. : )

(We are being busy at updating other components right now like check boxes..)

Hi @tipa ! It's a little clunky, but there's already a way to do this through setting a textview as the ActionView for the specified MenuItem (either programmatically, or setting the actionLayout through xml)
