Additional film formats

I am using Nikon Coolscan 4000 and used Vuescan so far. NegPy look very promissing and I have an issue that may be overcome when using the raw data transfer with NegPy from the scanner. I am shooting panorama film with KMZ Horizont and other cameras (3D printed). Up to now I have to stich scans which is a lot of extra work.
Would it be possible to make the auto detection of frames more flexible or to add formats like 24 x 58 and 24 x 72 to the list and frame detection ?
Furthermore half frame and film strips longer than 4 frames give weired results.
24 x 24 should be added additionally.

OK, it first needs to work OK in nkscan, but if the issues there are fixed, there should be the option to type in the cutom length. I don't think (at least not yet) that the 'Auto' mode in NegPy is working for that.
