How to highlight all the parents of a checked checkbox node?

Highlight color is is lighter than the checked color indicator.

Highlight the text of all the parent nodes even it is not expanded:

1. All the parents up the dom is highlighted once checking the checkbox, default if unchecked.
2. If a parent is node is unchecked but has a child node down is checked or a sibling node or its child node, the highlight remains.
3. Back to default text color on deselect

In hierarchical select mode, a parent of a selected node gets a fancytree-partsel class, that you could use to define stylings:

Otherwise, you could iterate the ancestor nodes on activation and set a custom class using node.addClass() for example.
