TFT Display Integration (GC9A01)

I'm interested in seeing if the new pi OS can support the GC9A01 display driver so we can use the circular tft displays.

Initial research doesn't look too promising without using a pre-bookworm OS.

This is working well. I have an example script that will draw a clock face.

Unfortunately the neopixels can't be used at the same time, but there is a second SPI bus on the Pi so I may be able to breakout both to allow simultaneous use.

Does this work with Raspberry Pi 5?
When I use it, it keeps printing this error.

Hi @AliElkashef - It should, as I have it working on the CM5 and there's no real difference between that and the Pi 5 as far as this is concerned. I'd suggest checking your configuration (do you have the SPI interface enabled, etc) and follow their guide through carefully. You should be able to reach out to Waveshare for support as well I'd expect.
