A diagonal line seems correct for a constant power draw device. Presumably the more interesting charts for energy are the daily or hourly charts rather than total energy over time. |

Regarding the vastly different consumption between your Tasmota and Tuya-local devices, from the timing of your posts, it seems you had only just gotten the tuya-local ones into the energy dashboard, so they would have only had partial data. Now that a couple of days has passed, is the daily view still showing such a big difference, or have they settled down now to be the same? The problem with Energy Total from Tuya devices is that it seems to be reset every hour (or more frequently for some devices), with the accumulation being handled in the Tuya Cloud. So it is not useable for the Home Assistant Energy dashboard, hence the need for setting up a Rieman Sum integration sensor on top of the power reading. It seems you have that working now, but for reference, it is now possible to set them up from the Helpers page on the Settings UI, which should avoid missing anything in the yaml config.. Power is showing up under diagnostics because it is a diagnostic sensor, not the main purpose of the device (a smart switch). It seems Tasmota does not mark any of its sensors or controls, so they are all showing up in the main Sensors and Controls sections. Being under diagnostics only affects whether it is available by default in voice assistants and auto-generated UIs, but you can always override that explicitly. |

Kind of a continuation from #833
I did this and it looks correct to me, I could add it as a consumption entity and the numbers look correct
I managed to add another of those power monitoring switches (BSD29) into via Tuya Local and added the code below, but the numbers don't look right, it is a diagonal line going up all the way, what am I missing?
