What happened?

When using Fooocus for image generation tasks, the GPU crashes during high memory utilization. The screen goes black, and the system requires a restart, sometimes also needing a driver reinstall.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Open Fooocus and start an image generation task (e.g., inpainting).
  2. GPU memory utilization spikes to near 100%.
  3. System crashes, screen goes black.

What should have happened?

Fooocus should complete image generation tasks without crashing the system or causing GPU issues.

What browsers do you use to access Fooocus?

Brave

Where are you running Fooocus?

Cloud (other)

What operating system are you using?

No response

Console logs

Logs can be provided upon request. No immediate log output before the crash.

Additional information

  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (16GB VRAM)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X
  • RAM: 64GB
  • Fooocus version: 2.1.859
  • Updated GPU drivers recently.
