Merge branch 'devel'

Changed to 3.40. Switched to new MapObject interface in QDP 1.38.0 .

Now supports multiple closes/re-inserts into an existing MapObjectDisk.
Removed all the "state" changing operations. New method uses a
new QDP underlying BinaryFileReaderWriter. Interface of MapObjectDisk
(and MapObject) is now fairly close to "filedb".

New dependencies.
