2.0 Release Announcement

the 2.0 version has been released here: https://github.com/kernelwernel/VMAware/releases/tag/v2.0

It should be noted that this will be the last release in a while, because I'm working on other projects concurrently at the moment and I feel like it's a good place to take a slight break from development (issues and PRs will still be maintained)

@kernelwernel There no longer support for CPP versions below C++20? Because you're saying in README.me that it is supported.

There are a couple of includes that are only supported in C++20 and above, such as:

In cli.cpp:28:
#include <bit>

Many of these in vmaware.hpp:
constexpr

The CLI is not necessarily compliant with standards under C++20, it’s the library itself that supports C++11 and above.

The reason why is because I figured the CLI would be best compiled with the CMake build (which has always been configured to use C++20 from the start) and I didn’t really think anybody would have much of a problem about it because I didn’t expect people to compile the CLI in a different compilation method.

But you do raise a good point, maybe I should’ve added better standards compatibility in both the CLI and the library instead of inconsistently having it in just the library alone. We’re releasing a 2.1 release fairly soon, so if there’s a specific requirement for you to compile the CLI in under C++20 standards then we can do that pretty easily for the next update :)

Got your point, it's just not what I expected, and I didn't have C++20 to build it.

Anyway, thanks for the quick reply. Great project, I am still working on integrating this library in my app.

Users/players sometimes tend to bypass this limitation by using VMWare.

I already have my own VMWare detection methods, but they don't cover all of the new VMWare versions and the spoofs going around and get updated. So, I thought I'd boost the security using this library.
