I can't run any command which requires X. My conjecture is that it needs this socket: /tmp/.X11-unix/X0 which is in /tmp. I attempted to make /tmp/.X11-unix visible using -r but got an error.
I'm still looking forward to use this tool!

Hmm, that's strange. I run lots of X apps under home-container (including Chrome and Steam / games) and haven't had problems. Maybe you could strace the app to see what exactly it's trying to do before it fails?
