Getting Started

Requirements

Since this software only provides GUI interface, you must obtain the application separately

• yt-dlp or other compatible applications.
• FFMPEG

Use Third Party Installer

• youtube-dlp-gui-installer (kazukikasama) - An Automatic installer for dlp-gui project

Use yt-dlp-gui

1. Download yt-dlp-gui.exe
2. Place yt-dlp.exe and ffmpeg.exe in the same folder as yt-dlp-gui.exe
3. Execute yt-dlp-gui.exe

• The first execution will generate the yt-dlp-gui.yaml file, which is used to store the settings. If you want to restore the default value just delete it
• You can also put yt-dlp.exe and ffmpeg.exe files in different subfolders (even nested) under the same folder as yt-dlp-gui.exe

Compatible Applications

yt-dlp-gui will automatically find the corresponding executable file name

Note: When placing multiple compatible apps, one will be used, please keep a single one to avoid confusion

• yt-dlp (yt-dlp.exe, yt-dlp_min.exe, yt-dlp_x86.exe, yt-dlp_x64.exe)
• youtube-dl (youtube-dl.exe)
• ytdl-patched (ytdl-patched-red.exe, ytdl-patched-white.exe)
