noScribe Version 0.6 on Intel Macs - Please Help Testing

We don't have an Intel based Mac in our possession. Therefore, we develop and test the x86_64 version of noScribe on M1 Macs using Rosetta2. This worked quite well until now. But, with version 0.6, there is an unresolved issue:

• On our machines, noScribe x86_64 will not start if launched from the Finder (Program Folder), the Launchpad, or the Dock at the bottom of the screen. (Sometimes it will start once, but not the next time.)
• noScribe will start from the Spotlight-Search (press cmd+space and search for 'noScribe'), or from the command line.
• Once started, the app will function like normal.

If you have an Intel based Mac, please test if these issues are also present on your machine. It might be only a problem with the Rosetta2-emulation, and the app works perfectly fine on an actual Intel Mac.

Installation:

Note: Unfortunately, we are currently not able to sign the x86_64 package correctly, so you will get a warning that noScribe and noScribeEdit are from unregistered developers. You have to manually allow noScribe and noScribeEdit to be executed, if your Gatekeeper is active. Follow these steps:

• Double-click the downloaded dmg-file.
• Drag noScribe and noScribeEdit into the link to your applications folder (labeled "drag both here to install").
• Start noScribe by double-clicking the app within your applications folder. You will get an error that noScribe is from an unregistered developer. Do the same with the noScribe Editor.
• Go to Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Scroll down until you see a message stating noScribe was prevented from starting and click "open anyway". Again, do the same with the noScribe Editor.
• From now on, both programs should start without issues.

Hello, thanks a lot for all your work. I installed both apps on my machine (M1 Mac) but I can't even launch it from the Spotlight-Search as you suggest. Any idea how I could try to bypass this issue?

The spotlight search workaround should only be necessary for Intel Mac, but not for Apple Silicon (M1-M4). Which installer have you downloaded and what macOS version are you running?
