These scripts are used for various build functions
dep.py
:
This finds the dependencies among a group of Fortran 90 files. It accepts preprocessor options and will first preprocess the files and then do the dependency checking. This is used to output the f90.depends file in the C++ build system.
find_files_vpath.py
:
This script is used by the build system when we do
make file_locations
This will then output where in the make search path we find the source files, and will also report on any files that are not found.
findparams.py
:
This is used by the F90 build system to locate parameter files
(named _parameters
) in the source tree that will then be parsed
to define runtime parameters.
makebuildinfo.py
:
This is used by the F90 build system (in the application code
makefiles) to generate a build_info.f90
file that includes
information about the build environment and git hashes, etc.
write_probin.py
:
This is used by the F90 build system (in the application code
makefiles) to generate the probin.F90 file that holds the runtime
parameters. It works by reading all of the _parameter
files to
find runtime parameters and takes a template Fortran file and
inserts the definitions and defaults into the template.
