This is an interesting tool! Would you consider announcing it on forum.kicad.info and adding it to KiCad 3rd-Party Tools? It may need a new category, possibly something like "System Tools".

At the moment the UI promises bit more than the actual code generator delivers, but I could get the tool to consistent state after weekend or two of concentrated working.
Any feedback? Does the generated SKiDL code look like good SKiDL practice?
The SKiDL code looks pretty good. I could enter some enhancement issues for new features, but I don't want them to take priority over the work of getting the code into a consistent state. That seems most important in terms of getting this tool out there.
One near-term recommendation would be to restructure the repository so that it can be easily added to Pypi. That would make it easier for potential users to install it. I can do that for you if you'd rather concentrate on more important things (it's just a matter of rearranging files and adding boilerplate).
