Hi,

We are using the OAR batch scheduler here (ESRF, Grenoble France). Apparently nobody did the job for this batch scheduler ?

I started to hack on it and faced two issues:

  • OAR enforces the script to be passed as a file rather than via pipe (what apparently all other are doing). This creates an additional file and some more management of file ownership.
  • OAR does apparently not preserve the environment variables, this means I had to put the authentication tokens into the script file itself (which is a security issue).

Are you interested in a PR on this topic ?

Cheers

Jerome

Maybe I found another solution to provide the token by environment variable, instead of putting it in the script

Passing the token via the command line exposes it via the "oarstat" command ... so it is even worse then before. I will leave the PR as it is then.
