[FR] Bases as third category in left pane, like Apple Notes Smart Folders #204

First of all, this project is incredible work - it looks amazing!

My suggestion: In addition to the folders and tags on the left (each of which maps to a fixed set of child notes), to add a third category - where each object is a user configurable search of some kind.

The analogy in Apple Notes would be a Smart Folder, and the motivation and use cases are the same.

My use case: I'm currently making heavy use of YAML frontmatter (mostly tags) + the new Obsidian bases (or search) to construct the views I need to see: such as tag:#current tag:#project-foo -tag:#status/done. Each folder in my vault shows too many notes to be a useful view, as does each individual tag. Having "smart folders" in the left pane would allow me to use the second pane to navigate over (and sub-search) those search results.

Ideally in Obsidian these searches would be Obsidian bases, being an existing efficient way map a user query to list of matching notes, and this would allow existing user bases to be used in this new way rather than eg adding a new query syntax or UI.

No doubt using Obsidian bases in this way would depend on the upcoming bases API.
