Press a hotkey, speak, automatically paste the transcription into the active app.
- Define a hotkey (either a modifier key + character or single modifier key)
- Last three transcriptions stored just in case. Can be copied or cleared from menu
- Offline**, Local, and private
- English-only for now
** On first time use the app will download the Parakeet speech models from Hugging Face.
- The app will request accessibility permissions in order to listen for a global hotkey. Restart the app after granting.
- Click the menu item hotkey field to register a hotkey.
- The app will request microphone permissions on first use.
- You'll need to manually add Utter to a Login Item if you'd like it to start on system startup.
