Setup Instructions

To get this project up and running locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository (if you haven't already):

    git clone <your-repository-url>
    cd <repository-directory>
  2. Install PHP dependencies using Composer:

    composer install
  3. Copy the example environment file and generate an application key: If you have a .env.example file, copy it to .env:

    cp .env.example .env

    Then, generate the application key:

    php artisan key:generate

    If you don't have a .env.example file, create a .env file and add the necessary configurations.

  4. Configure your environment variables in the .env file: Open the .env file and make sure the following variables are set with your Stripe credentials and desired currency:

    CASHIER_CURRENCY=USD # Or your preferred currency
    STRIPE_KEY=your_stripe_publishable_key
    STRIPE_SECRET=your_stripe_secret_key
    
    # Add other necessary environment variables like database connection details
    DB_CONNECTION=sqlite
    or
    DB_CONNECTION=mysql
    DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
    DB_PORT=3306
    DB_DATABASE=your_database_name
    DB_USERNAME=your_database_user
    DB_PASSWORD=your_database_password
  5. Run database migrations:

    php artisan migrate --seed or php artisan migrate:fresh --seed
  6. Serve the application:

    php artisan serve

    The application will usually be available at http://127.0.0.1:8000.
