Currently private keys for timestamp, snapshot and the online targets are stored in github secrets: this is not very professional or safe. Use a real KMS so the demonstration is more realistic.

The same GCP service account that is setup for the securesystemslib tests can be used for the keys here

  • snapshot and timestamp are now in GCP KMS
