v2.60 API change

Hi @jim-easterbrook,

Did I respond to the 2.60 API change in a way that looks good to you?

This code block is intended to handle old and new versions of your library. If I could have made this change more pythonic, please let me know. Wrapping the call in a generator seemed the easiest approach to me.

The items() function was added in v2.4.0, which was released in Aug 2023. If you can make v2.4.0 your minimum version of python-gphoto2 then you need not bother with the camera_list_iterator helper. I also reinstated the old iterator in v2.6.1, but with deprecation.

I'm not the best judge of what's Pythonic. For example, I really dislike Python's type indicators. But your helper/wrapper looks a good way to handle the different APIs.

PS From v2.5.1 onwards there's a __version_tuple__ for easier version checking, but that won't be helpful to you yet.

Thanks. I need the iterator because Ubuntu 24.04 uses python-gphoto2 1.9.0. Thankfully Ubuntu 26.04 uses 2.6.3.

This is why I expect users of my "Photini" software to install in a venv. Putting up with ancient packages from the OS repo is just too much pain.
