  • I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.

Describe the bug
Grouping of objects seem to not stick when I ask the app.diagrams.net to redo a diagram via "Layout -> Horizontal Flow". That command seems to disperse all objects and do not keep them close to each other as I had originally laid out. How do I keep grouped objects with same closeness while invoking "Layout -> Horizontal Flow" command? Thanks for your help!

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Group some objects close to each other.
  2. Invoke Layout -> Horizontal Flow.
  3. See objects all disperse.

Expected behavior
The objects that are grouped together should be treated as a single object when Layout tool is redistributing objects.

Hi,

Are you seeing the same behaviour in other browsers?
Could you attach the diagram file here and two print screens: the diagram in initial state and after layout invoke.

Thanx,

Bastian from //SEIBERT/MEDIA GmbH said he was able to reproduce the issue.
I think you can reproduce it quite easily on your end.

I have attached following examples that were reproduced using Chrome browser.

group before horizaontal flow
group after horizontal flow
