waypoint(black dot shape) should auto split line into separate segments

When the waypoint (black dot shape) is dropped onto an existing line it should auto split the original line into two separate line segments. This would make it behave more like a true schematic editor when making electrical circuit diagrams. The black dot waypoint would than act as solder joint between two(or more) wire segments. Also would like the ability to wire directly between two separate waypoints. Currently can only make a fixed connection to a waypoint when starting from a shape's connector. Ideally would like to wire between two waypoints directly.
