I don't know what 'detecting as RS232 means'. As a note, this is a repository that has been supplanted by new capabilities in the NVIDIA SDK Manager. Consider using the SDK Manager to gain this functionality.

Use a data cable USB cable. Connect the AGX Xavier to the host and to the AGX Xavier USB-C port. The port is the one close to the GPIO connector (not the one close to power barrel connector). Do the following:

Shutdown your AGX Xavier.

  • When off, push recovery mode button (the middle one).
  • While keeping recovery mode pressed, press the Power button and release it when it lights up.
  • Release recovery button.
Then your AGX Xavier should be in recovery mode and show a NVIDIA line as USB device when running lsusb from host.
