I have been doing troubleshooting for the last week and here is what I have found.
I am only having the issue when using the stereo on android auto.
I tried using the web player it shows the playlists just fine.
I tried the android app on the phone itself it shows the playlists just fine.
I tried the Kodi plugin it shows the playlists just fine.
I tried all of these on multiple devices.
I did a fresh install of my jellyfin server no change
I ran a full check on directory permissions no issues found.
If I had to guess this is probably related to the way Jellyfin is accessing the android auto api. Is it possible it is listing playlists as non-audio content causing android auto to not list it as it wont allow any other type of content?
or maybe it is calling the wrong api ?
If you need any further info let me know I will gladly help.

Same for me, but this happen to me when i upgrade my servers from 10.8.x to 10.9.11 and recreate playlist as private.

No playlist, no matter that i have create them as public (new one) or private.

I noticed this issue when i upgrade my server to 10.9.11 and later recreate database. When i use database moved from 10.8.x i believe playlists work OK. Then i delete .db file (from other reason) and create whole database from begining, and then playlist dissapear in my Android Auto.

Also some of Artist are show on Artist page, but no co tent when i open it. Maby this is releated to na mes or something, for example Artist name "O.N.A. " show on Android Auto empty folder and no cover next to Artist.
I saw every artist that is in folder with special characters, dont show any albums inside. For example, if i have files in folders "AC/DC; Offspring, The; Beatels, The; O.N.A" etc.. they don't show any albums inside on Android Auto. They work OK on PC, Phone etc.. also if I add those albums to playlist (when playlists work) on Android Auto i can play those songs.

There is on strange thing. I have also artist folder "Earth, Wind and Fire" and this folder show all albums inside.
