Block library and global styles

Did something related to block library and global styles changed after implementing new Tailwind version? I swear in the past it didnt load block library or global styles inline CSS. Yeah, I dequeued them but I have few sites which use the previous version and they dont load them automatically so I am just wondering if anything substantial changed with v4?

The global styles and variables come from WordPress itself, not from TailPress. Difference is that I use the resulting variables now in resources/css/theme.css.

That is so weird. I know they come from WordPress itself but I am so confused why older Tailpress sites dont load them and now new project loads bunch of inline styles. All run latest WordPress so its not a difference between WP versions.

Just to be sure I did a quick check just now with v3 of TailPress, and I see the variables and inline styles there as well. Maybe it comes from explicitly disabling them in your other themes, or maybe a plugin that does this? Otherwise I don't know 🤷‍♂️

Okay, I did find one site that loads them as well so that might not be an issue but this caught my eye because default TW styles are overwritten by it. I created a fresh theme and behaviour is still there. Global-styles-inline-css overrides app.css inherit values. Example, has underline when it should be inherit. Previous sites Ive made, dont get those values overridden. Example: a:where(:not(.wp-element-button)) { text-decoration: underline; } . This overrides app.css a { color: inherit; -webkit-text-decoration: inherit; text-decoration: inherit; }. Im really not sure if its something on me, WP or Tailpress, thats why I started a discussion first but I can create an issue.

@ampsu Are you using tailwind v4 ? If so it might be related to how the v4 version of Tailwind is using layers to import css. I think i have the same issue. Still didn't find any solutions yet to avoid this.

Just to be sure, that rules is loaded in a CSS Layer "base" when you inspect your link right ?
