I have a fingerprint reader on my laptop that works with other webauthn sites, also what about support for android 7+ phones?

Amen. I came here to report the same issue. However, I already know the answer. This is a malfeature in Mozilla rather than in this repo.

I bothered to come here in hopes of influencing work in Mozilla to fix the problem. In the meantime this issue should be closed.

I recognize that recommending my own "amen" be ignored and the ticket be closed is a strange outcome. Pay no mind.
