Is it possible to update report files without necessarily open them?

Hi! I've noticed that report files (e.g. frontier, hosts) are updated or created only when they are opened. Even if the crawl job stops because the user stopped it manually or was killed somehow, the report files are not created if they weren't explicitly opened.

Is there any option to create them every X seconds or when the job is manually stopped or finished? Or any other option to create this report files somehow automatically?
