Allow one worker to support multiple shards.

You are actually right. Yesterday I thought this would not really suit with how we have multisharding implemented, but we could do this.

However, from a trust perspective, I guess, it would be better to implement rotating keys, so we gain forward secrecy. (Not 100% sure). Maybe an issue to discuss this would be cool. ;)
