Currently the terms give individual developers as many sick days and vacation days as the customer's HR gives to customer employees. That could work out rather badly if customer's HR gives very few days.
I'd like to provide a safer default, but that's only going to go over well if it's based on some external resource or standard. Perhaps there's a standard for federal employees? Or a recurring report about how many days folks in private industry get each year?

I don’t know if it needs to be also correlated to years of experience, though. As far as I’m concerned, this is a CYA type provision for very restrictive clients, not a definitive guide. So, I think at least giving a sane bottom limit would suffice.
