AddTube

The Add x-ray tube page is used to add a new x-ray tube to an x-ray machine.

The form is used to store information about the x-ray tube:

• Housing manufacturer, model, serial number
• Insert manufacturer, model, serial number
• Manufacture/Installation dates
• Focal spot sizes
• Notes

Normally the machine selector on the form is already pre-set.

There are occasions where the x-ray tube information may be inaccessible. For example, x-ray units where the tube is surrounded by a housing, CT units where the tube labels are hidden or obscured. In these instances, a new x-ray tube should still be added for the unit, but the information fields may be left blank.

The machine field is the only required field for this form.
