Can't get popover portal "to" to work.

My test scenario:

The popover does exist inside the dom (inside the target div) but is not visible. The generated variables on the floating-content-wrapper container are sus:

--bits-floating-transform-origin: undefined undefined;
--bits-floating-available-width: undefinedpx;
--bits-floating-available-height: undefinedpx;
--bits-floating-anchor-width: undefinedpx;
--bits-floating-anchor-height: undefinedpx;

Am I missing something?
I'm using bits-ui version 2.9.4

Funny enough when i add display: contents to the wrapper, the popover is displayed.
